The Service

Opening Coach is a chess opening analysis and practice platform. It fetches your publicly available games from chess platforms (Lichess, Chess.com), analyzes them for opening mistakes, and helps you practice through spaced repetition.

Your Account

You may use Opening Coach without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate others.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the service.
• Abuse the service by submitting excessive automated requests or scraping data.
• Analyze games of other players without their knowledge for the purpose of gaining a competitive advantage during ongoing games.

Third-Party Services

Opening Coach integrates with third-party chess platforms (Lichess, Chess.com) to fetch your games. Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by these platforms.

Intellectual Property

The Opening Coach platform, including its design, code, and content, is the property of Opening Coach. Chess analysis results generated from your games remain your data, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

Opening Coach is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Elo gain estimates and analysis results are approximations intended for educational purposes and should not be treated as guarantees of rating improvement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Opening Coach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
