Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Opening Coach service. This includes running analysis on your games, tracking your practice progress, and sending reminder emails if you opt in.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties. The only external services your data is shared with are those strictly necessary to provide the functionality you use — for example, fetching your games from Lichess or Chess.com when you request an analysis.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which features are popular and where users encounter issues. This data is aggregated and does not include your chess games or analysis results.

Local Storage

If you use Opening Coach without signing in, your analysis results and preferences are stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device unless you sign in, at which point it may be migrated to your account for cross-device access.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us and we will process your request promptly.

Your Rights
